Writing compilers, training models,
shipping tools — solo.
A statically-typed language compiling to native via LLVM. HM type inference, generational GC, coroutine concurrency, generics, closures. Self-host in progress.
A KAN+SSM hybrid architecture for Vietnamese — no Transformers. Exploring RoPE integration, a 64K Vietnamese-aware tokenizer, and entropy-based confidence scoring. Small scale, Vietnamese-first.
I'm Minh, based in Thanh Hóa, Vietnam, and the founder of Vietrix — a one-person software and research foundation.
I work on compilers because I'm curious about how programming languages actually work. I'm building a Vietnamese AI model to explore what non-Transformer architectures can do for a tonal language. I build tools when the ones I find don't quite fit.
Most of my work is solo. Rust is the common thread. Currently pushing Draton toward self-hosting.
Open to conversation, collaboration, or just talking compilers.
